    How big is the room?

    What are your main speakers?

    With movies and/or music?

Your receiver is not pushing your sub, it's pushing itself. (It's an active sub)

Seems like a decent unit from the specs, certainly shouldn't sound muddy. I assume by the description on their site of "closed box" it is a sealed woofer?

Do you maybe have the XO point set really low on the sub but high on the receiver so you are losing a band of bass?

I've heard many Denon AV receivers. To me they are rather coloured with bass.

Does your receiver have a set of pre-out? Try connecting the pre-outs to the line-level inputs of the sub with a pair of interconnects. Also try increasing the x-over frequency to +/- 100/120Hz. No pre-outs, no interconnects then try increasing the x-over frequency.

2nd Sub-out on 1098, any way to change??

I just hooked up my other SVS in the bedroom, and I couldn't figure out how to get it setup for Zone2 operation. It sucks to have to use the main volume control to get the sub loud, and then you have the mains playing loud too, and the Zone2 speakers are independent and not as loud, PIA.

                Hi all,

My Mentor omnidirectional project is nearing completion, however, I pilfered the sub drivers for these from my NaO Mini's and will need to move them back eventually. I'm looking for a replacement sub driver for the Mentor's with these qualifications/constraints:

First of all I'd like to say this forum is awesome and I was very impressed with all the projects I have seen, and initially I was just trolling but you guys have inspired me to try a project of my own. Anyways, I have done a fair amount of research (other forums like AVS,...

                by skullmurdoc
                Hello,

I got a Rotel Rsp-1066 and Rmb-1075 and I was wondering how can I check how much watt am pushing at a giving time.

For exemple if I listen to music at 55 on the 1066 how much watt is my 1075 pushing?

                Thanks for any info

                by Cool Mr Steve
I'm currently in the process of planning out my Modula Mt's, but the question of a subwoofer for my room has been weighing me down. The room I'm putting my speakers in is really small (9' X 12'), and that sucks, but it's what's available to me. Aside from the problems I'm going to be facing trying to...
