Rotel RCD-1072 vs Dennon dvd-2910 Which one wins hands down?

@comeup: the topic starter wanted to compare the RCD-1072 and the Denon 2910, not the 3910. The 3910 is obviously a step further up the highend ladder than the 2910. (considering the 500-600 dollar price difference between the two)

the main differences are in the audio playback are in time-alignment and subwoofer crossovers... otherwise identical as far as i know

my understanting is that the main differences (reflected in the price) are in video- although the 2910 also upconverts and does it well

the point is that some people are very happy with denon and if you are on a budget (2910) they offer a lot for the money, more so than the rotel 1092 imo

Just for the records.

I've both Rotel RCD-1070 and Denon 3910 and for CD reproduction I prefer Rotel over Denon, when compared using the analog stereo outs.

Denon has a very liquid sound with very sweet highs but doesn't have the low end dynamics of Rotel. In many CDs the Denon lacks the kick and velocity of RCD-1070 with percussion instruments.

Even with SACD the low end of Denon its too much laid back/slow for my taste.
