    a buddy of mine has the Nucleus Micro speakers with a Def Tech Super Cube. Not a bad sounding Sat speaker that is for sure. I am not sure that they are worth all the $$$$ but his house is super modern, and so the look fits right in. They do sound pretty good though.
    The Bitterness of poor quality last longer than the joy of low prices.

      I worked at the good guys in san francisco for a few years and started carrying gallo back in '02. they were very popular because they sound great and finally something that will steer people away from "bose" (better off something else). while the gallo's will give you lots of volume and wide sound dispersion, it does not do well with mids and lows, so if you get them, make sure you dont get the gallo sub. i think they sounded best with a 10 or 12 inch velodyne spl series sub. if you get the crossover just right and set the speakers to small in your receiver/controller, then they can sound very impressive. also for better ht performance, i recommend you get the "a'diva" or the "due loudspeaker" as a center.

          I have a pair that are biamped (separately powering the woofers' second voice coil) and are, IMO, a great value. Wide open soundstage, seamless driver integration, and dynamic. They can be perceived as just a little short in stage height (for obvious reasons per the picture below), and maybe a little on the warm side. But overall, pretty good.

          Q.

            Thanks for the pics. Look bigger on their site w/o a reference point. How does their tweeter compare to Martin Logans?

              Nothing compares to Logan other than the Genesis ribbon.

                More relaxed, but very detailed with wide dispersion. BTW, the speaker in the picture is a Magneplanar.

                    Hi Everyone,
                    I am looking to upgrade my 2 channel and HT speakers and was thinking about the Gallo Reference 3/3.1's. I had demoed them recently and were really impressed by them using the sub amp. Please let me know if anyone here uses these or used to, and your impressions, any drawbacks, etc......

                    Hello all. I'm hoping to come up with some cash this summer to upgrade the home theatre/music playback system a bit.

                    I currently have a dirt cheap receiver, it is so embarrassing I won't even mention what it is. When I first got a DVD player I bought a home theatre in a box just to...

                    RSX-1067 Zone Channels as Sub Amp for Gallo Ref3's?
                    by methril
                    I'm having a tough time finding a quality crossover to filter the full range line-level signal from my receiver's pre-outs prior to running them through a separate 2-channel amp (NAD C370) to power the 2nd set of subwoofer voice coils on my Gallo Reference 3's. Guess I'll just have to wait for the Gallo...

                    B&W 804S Vs. Gallo Reference 3's
                    by LikeCoiledSteel
                    I recently demo'd some B&W 804S's at a local dealer. I am not sure if they were just not fully broken in yet, but they sounded boxed in. Not what I was expecting. Imaging was very good and was pace, they just sounded a bit constrained.

                    I am now looking at the Gallo's and will demo...

                    Gallo Reference 3 or B&W804S/803S??
                    by nyny
                    Hi guys, I am planning to setup a dedicated two-channel system and I am considering the following speakers:

                    * Anthony Gallo Ref 3
                    * B&W 804S
                    * B&W 803S

                    Does anyone have a chance to listen to these speakers? Any comments would be appreciated.
