    speaker wattage ?

Ok may be a stupid question but dont know the answer.

My speakers say Max amp power 100w on the back .

Is this Max power per channel ??, or Max power of the amp ??.

Just ignore it... You'll damage your speakers from underpowering them before damging them from overpowering them Unless of course you're trying to fill a stadium with one single 6" driver and a 500W amp

Why do speakers have a max watt rating
        by bleeding ears
Whilst pondering which amplifier and which output wattage would best suit my speakers, I became a little confused about the whole amp/speaker wattage compatibility issue.

Eg , if speakers can handle wattages well above the manufacturers specified maximum rating, why do they specify...

Amplifier output wattage vs. power consumption
        by espo
Many amplifier manufacturers rate their amplifiers at continuous multi-channel outputs that exceed the current inputs? ie Sunfire Signature Seven is rated 400 wpc x 7 = 2800watts, continuous all channels driven. The power consumption is rated at 15amp @ 120 volts which is 1800 watts without efficiency...

        Amp wattage question.
        by sbank
Hi All, I have a question on wattage for the RB-1080 amp. I know a lot of you keep your amp on all the time, and some people turn it on and off. I sure don't want to bring up that discussion again on which is better, but I do have a question from a fiscal standpoint.

        The RB-1080 (I...

OT - Can a 7.1 system use different wattage amps?
        by Sahren7
Newb questions, yes, but I simply do not know. I recently moved to separates. I have acquired a used processor (AV7005) and funds dictate that the amps will be acquired over time on the used market. As such I might end up with different brands having different wattage. I was thinking of getting...

I own a Samsung model 1500. I tried to watch max payne and it kept freezing or the sound stopped. So, I visited http://www.blu-raydisc.com/en/Technical/Updates.html. this is there statement for my model:
