    Good set up ?

I just recently obtained some vintage hardware and am looking to complete my system. My main components are a Macintosh C26 preamp and a Macintosh MC2105 amplifier. I am currently working with a KLH model-18 tuner and other various inputs. My item I am lacking is speakers.... so, My question for discussion is : I have te opportunity to purchase a set of Jamo Cornet 100's (approx $200) ... will this do my system justice or should I be looking something a bit higher end (money is always an object).

    thanks for any input.
Any one trying to get rid any speakers??

    Thanks, Radwints

Mark, what qualities are you looking for in a speaker? That will help us make more useful suggestions.

Radwints the classified area is at the bottom of the forum and is called the Pawn Shop. You might also want to visit www.audiogon.com and www.ebay.com as other sites to find used gear. Audiogon would be my suggestion over eBay though if you must purchase over the web. Many audio shops also take in trades which might also be a great venue to purchase used or demo products with the added advantage being that you get to hear them first.

Of that list though the only ones I'd look at are the Klipsch.

What's your budget and what are you planning on using as an amp and CD source?

                Thanks Andrew,

I checked out Audiogon.... WOW some high end stuff there, a bit out of my league unless I cash in on the lottery.
I have been searching Ebay and will browse the Pawn shop.
The Amp I'm using to drive with is a McIntosh MC2105 (105 w/ch) and my CD/DVD unit is a combo but am looking at upgrading.

The klipsch 3.2 are looking good for about $200 or I can get the Hersey's locally for about $400.

No opinion on the bulldogs ??

                Again Thanks for the Links
