    Cabinet Design Software

I'm looking for software to design speaker cabinets and furniture and am hoping there is something out there that is relatively cheap and easy to use.

I can't really afford, or justify the cost of, expensive CAD software and I think there must be something out there for woodworkers that would work just as well.

I'm sure some one here can point me in the right direction. :T

    Thanks!

Thanks Thomas. It's not exactly what I was hoping for but it will get me close enough for my purposes. The price is definitely right. :W

Once you've designed your cabinet, download this nifty little program to organise your cut pieces from stock (minimise wastage, allowing for blade thickness in cuts etc...)

I think I understand manipulating box parameters a little bit at this point, but I'm hoping some of the more experienced folks can shed some light here.

Generally, increasing box size results in lower frequencies reached, with some tradeoffs, correct?

              Ideally, one would...

As the title indicates, this will be my first ever original design.

I have some experience building speakers as I've built NatPs, Khanspires and the matching WTMW center.

However, I have no experience with doing this from scratch so I will definitely need some help with driver...

Breaking with modern conventions - a highly musical 2-way system using an 8" woofer

              By Jon Hancock

This article will describe the fruits of my efforts to build a moderate sized speaker which might be moderately above average in performance for a basic two-way system. I desired a speaker like this both for my own use in secondary systems, and to fill a need for some friends, who desired fairly full range response (i.e., “it’s gotta have good bass”). Also, though I have access to a good wood shop, many potential DIY enthusiasts may not, so I hoped to use a modified...

Software to estimate F3 in ZRT design
              by xyrium
              Hi All,

I'm considering doing a 2 way ZRT in a sealed cabinet. What I'd really like to achieve is an F3 about about 50hz. Is there software/freeware out there that I can use to estimate what the F3 would be for this design in a 20 and 30l cabinet?

              Also, if the sealed design...
