    $5 Switch for Statement Monitors:

I know a few of you are building Statement Monitors and I though I'd share a source for the 3PDT switch I call out for the switchable BSC version.

I bought a pair of these a couple of weeks ago for my transient perfect Maverick project. They are new, 15A, switches, and at $5, much cheaper than comparable switches sourced from the regular electronics supply houses. They have a center off position, which is superfluous for the Monitors, but is immaterial for their intended function. I can recommend the Surplus Center as a reputable, local company.

    Hi Curt,

Do you have any in-room measurements of the Statement speakers, with and without the fixed eq?

    cheers,

I may still have the summed responses on my computer of both topologies based on 1 meter measurements, but nothing that will show below the baffle step with any great accuracy. I’ll have to look tonight.

I was thinking further into the room, maybe around the listener position using RTA, so we can see the combined room/speaker LF both with and without the filter. At that position of course.
Is this a ported or sealed design?

        cheers,

That I won't have, and the test articles are no longer in my possession.
          It was a ported design.

            Switchable Statement Monitors recommendations
            by Delta Dog
Has anyone build the Switchable Monitor Statemens? I was wondering if there is that much difference in the speakers performance vs placement. Does anyone have any photos and/or recommendations for the switch setups (beyond the circuit drawing). I plan on starting with the monitors as part of a 7.1...

About a year ago I started my build. Got real busy at work and stopped for a while. Started back recently. Here is my progress.

I am building the Statements Switchable Monitors. I plan on building sealed Statements, the Center, and a sub (or 2) in the future. I am using solid mahogany baffle...

Well I finally finished the full statement surround system, the centre channel really sounds AMAZING in movies, if anyone has a receiver that can do it, go watch a blu-ray and set to THX Ultra2 Cinema mode, wow the voices stand out just like in a theatre, well here's some pics.

Sealed Statement or Modified Statement Questions
            by snmhanson
As many of you may know, I have just finished building some Statement Monitors and a 2RCC. I love the speakers and certainly have no complaints. However, after seeing the aesthetics of the 2RCC I am finding myself wanting to build something with more drivers for my mains. I would build the regular...

            Adjusting the Statement Center Channel

            Hi all

I've been busy over the last 8 months or so building a full set of Statement IIs, Statement monitors, and Statement center channel. The progression went from monitors to center to full sized, explaining why I'm running the original center with the Statement IIs.

            Overall,...
