    Connections for Vanco 7.2 Wallplate

Quick question......anyone have a preference on how to terminate in wall speaker wire to the back of plates. The plate i have accepts bare wire, banana clips, etc. I can't decide what would be the best. Here is a picture of the back of the plate:

    Thanks for the advice.

Shane, I have lots of various wallplates in my house. For ones like the one you're talking about, I personally have just terminated in bare wire, since the wallplate is hard-wired and it's not like you'll be swapping cables in the walls. Eliminates one more connection point.

Well, we're safe for now. Thank goodness we're in a bowling alley.

Chris, thanks for the advice. I was thinking that would be the easiest as well not only to eliminate an extra connection, but that plate will be very tight for space, even in a triple gang box.

        805s Wiring - Bi-Amp Jumpers?
        by bresna
I received a pair of 805s speakers for Christmas. The seller updated the tweeters to the current diamond tweeter and they sound so sweet. I am very happy.

The seller was bi-amping the speakers so when I received them, the jumpers weren't attached. The directions on hooking them up are...

        Bare speaker wire connections
        by John22614
Curious how many of you use bare speaker wire connections and how you deal with wire corrosion. I just replaced my speaker wires using 10 gage 8 foot runs with bare connections to both my amp and speakers and it sounds really good. How often do you think I need to cut back the wire to deal with corrosion?...

What are your preferred connector types on the amplifier side and also on the speaker side of your connections?

Please feel free to elaborate on your choices.
