Okay I have gone over budget on equipment. Any recommendations on cheap seating? It doesn't have to be real theater seats. I saw a couple of cool looking big round chairs at Wal-mart but they just didn't sit high enough. What does everyone else use? (That don't have "real" seats).

Maybe if you find something that works and it needs raised you could install some aftermarket legs. Your local home store (home depot) probably sells 4" or 6" legs that can be screwed into the framework underneath to raise them up.

Could check them out. But I do like the idea Patt gave, may just work out for you if you're quite handy. :TCLIVE

by thadmanDoes furniture (ie couches, tables, etc) obstruct modal resonances (ie 20-150hz) or LF sound propagation. Suppose a subwoofer is placed beneath a couch or under a table, does the furniture attenuate its output or direct its energy to different areas of the room (ie excitement of different modes)?-
