    Impedence

    I'm using a Rotel RB991 to distribute audio all over my house. I'm also using Audioplex impedence matching volume controllers. When I hooked up the second pair of speakers, my amp went into protection mode. I realize what the problem is I think. The volume controllers are designed to work with 4 or 8 ohm speakers. The speakers that I am using are 6 ohms. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I can hook up one pair or the other, but not both. So, I know that my wiring is correct.

      Sometimes going through a speaker switchbox helps. Try it.
