Windows Media 9 High Definition Demos

You can download Hi-def demos for play back on your PC High%20Definition%20Windows%20Media%20Demo]Here

Besure to grab the Media 9 player as well if you don't already have it.

The T2 Hi-Def is there however the demo doesn't seem to showcase the best parts of the Hi-Def DVD.

The Coral Reef is stunning at 1080p however it does require some horsepower to run it. It runs smooth on my desktop PC, however it does not run completely smooth on my notebook.

I discovered that the T2 Hi-Def DVD-ROM decodes at 1440x816 and then scales to your desktop resolution. This seemingly takes less processing power as it does not have to decode at the highest resolution. Scaling takes less power than decoding as the Coral reef Demo clearly shows. It decodes at 1080p (1920x1080) and does not run smooth on my notebook, but boy does it look good!

Whats fair $$$ for cdm1 demos?
    by Aven
I'm looking at a set of cdm1 demos..... They sound fantastic! Asking price is $825 w/stands (not B&W).... What do you think?

While we are at it... What do you think are fair "used" prices for B&W's...cdm7's,cdm9's,703's, 704's, 705's,6 series, etc... For us entry level...

    Jvc Hd2k - Woow
    by BobbyDS
I've seen a fair bit of discussion on this board about the HD2K and thought that I would drop a subjective opinion in for everyone to absorb. I'm pretty technical, and chose the HD2K for a number of reasons my head worked out. (A) It's 3-chip DILA system offers some pretty obvious immediate benefits...

    Soul Surfer
    by Bob
I just got back from two weeks of surfing in Nicaragua with my friend Jeff Hakman. While there I admit that we were feeling pretty old and we both kept saying that this was the last time in our lives that we would be traveling and surfing waves of any consequence. One especially big day we boated out...

    My CES 2001 Report (long!)
    by migliore
Well, here are my opinions on what I saw and heard at the CES this
    year.

I'll start off with best 2 ch sound. I think it was a tie between
Burmester and Alon. Burmester offer an incredibly musical system
(that is also gorgeous). While some of the demos were dts cd's,...
