Thanks Bing. I can't figure out for the life of me how to copy & paste a link correctly on the Guide. This isn't a stab but, it works on every other forum i post on. Thanks again.

I've seen this and the other one at this site; my preference is the aluminum front- but then eveyone know's amp designer's are suckers for aluminum!

          Jon,

I saw that one too. How cool are these cases?! My computer sits right next to my gear rack as it is and, i do have an empty tier in my rack. I'm gonna build my own computer. (first one)

Jon, I would love for you to build me a bunch of components (amplifier, Pre/pro, HTPC) using matching cases like these or simular

            Consider me your product tester....

Wow! That case is beautiful. Man...I've never felt the need to build a HTPC but that case has me thinking...

was it a Krell, a Levinson, a Mac, what did that guy have in his case anyway? Suddenly, the PC takes 1 giant leap forward to becoming a truly integrated "component" without that pesky PC look.

In a word, awesome! Hmmm, it's got me thinking. Bookmarking now.

I almost hit the "checkout" button last night, lol.. thinking,thinking,thinking..

The front panel is the same thickness as my B&K 307 (1/4" solid aluminum block). Ba ba ba baaaaad, bad to the bone! All ya gotta do is make the CD drive a dvd /cd burner drive.. (since there's only one slot for a drive, right?)

Heck, Bing, I'd like to have the time to build *me* matching components using those cases.... but we could leave the amps looking like the Ayre.... and I've already got the cases for the DACs, which are black, but I can get silver versions....

And let's not forget a cute little guy for the microATX HTPC in the bedroom! Or smaller yet, a mini bare bones system with FireWire, external video (S-Video), and a PCI slot for video upgrade...
use one of the USB ports to hook up a Sound Blaster Extigy for external audio and surround decode, or go with a high end external USB 24/96 DAC...

all it takes is money and time....

I forgot to mention those beautiful DAC's you made as well, yeah a set of those too

Nice case Jon, I can see the headlines now Jon-Cube kicks Gamecube's butt!

I've been thinking of building a compact system like that for my daughter, that fits the bill nicely. The other case I had considered was the Lian-Li PC 25, also a small case in the same class.

                          Whooaaa, Bing,

I hadn't even thought of it that way- not only do we cover the HTPC bases, but the Xbox/Gamecube thing as well!

Put a monster HD (capacity wise) in it, and it's also the Audio Juke box thingie you guys like, with the external audio. Add a DIVX MPEG 4 player, for all the trailer's you've ripped and liked to "preview" before the main show. And with the Firewire port, external storage, Video input, etc., is just a cable plug away. The once I saw at Central computer DID have an SPDIF output, so in theory we could interface our wiz-bang modified APN Hawk DAC's to it, too!

Some things I'd end up wanting to build just for the sheer FUN! of it, even if I don't have time to use one much.... :B
