John, i've been reading stuff around the forums the last few days about a new Pre Pro early 2002... Have you heard anything?

    Chip,

I've heard the same rumour, but no confirmation.

They are finally shipping the AVR20x/Ref 20 upgrades, so it wouldn't surprise me if they ship the new preamp followed by the Ref 30/AVR30x upgrades.

      Processor less Home theater?
      by Dlite
I have been toying with the idea of removing my old EAD Theatermaster signature from my Home Theater set up, and using my main 2 channel pre amp (Gryphon belcanto) and 2 passive pre amps to handle the 5 channels. I would use my Denon 2900 do to all the processing etc. There will obviously be a little...

      Reference 20 upgrade
      by jtodd
I was on the phone to B&K today about the Ref 20 upgrades. I asked about what the upgrade would give me. The response was every thing that the Ref 30 has except firewire (ie 1394) and component switching. This seems great until I asked the price. Which appears to be set at $899.

I've had my MC-12 a long time, true. I decided I'd check to see if there were firmware updates, that may fix any problems, or get me additional features such as newest sound formats, etc, you know true dolby, etc..whatever's current... The V 5.0 update, costs 1000.00 and involves hardware. Say what?...

Not sure if this has been posted but I got this in my email box. I thought it was an interesting read.

"At Rotel, we have been asked many times why our audio/video receivers don’t feature an Auto-Eq set up. The short answer is that while these devices do change the sonic characteristics,...
