    winDVD

The more I think about it, the more I think my burned copy of winDVD must be corrupted...is this program available at retailers, or just over the net, I have looked at a couple stores and haven't seen it yet.

WinDVD is only available over the Internet. Here is the link to the InterVideo web site.

    http://www.intervideo.com

You can download a "free trial version" from their web site and then convert it to a full version with your current serial number.

        Kenny,

When you get WINDVD up, check your version number. If it's 2.35 or earlier, I can send you a CD with 2.64 patch. It's worthwhile. Let me know if you need it.

The newest CD version I've seen so far is 2.1, but I've been running with a downloaded 2.35 patch for many months- at least six or more. The 2.64 is the newest patch- that's just out last week.

            Regards,

            Jon

I just got a new copy of WinDVD with a system I bought from Dell. It is WinDVD 2000, Version 2.1. I can post the setup.exe file on an ftp site if anyone wants to upgrade their copy to the latest version. You will still need your old serial number.

                Deep Web (2015)
                by bigburner
The deep web is an invisible part of the World Wide Web. Its contents are not indexed by standard search engines. The deep web is many hundreds of times the size of the visible web.

The title of this documentary is misleading because it isn’t really about the deep web but rather about...

Folks, until further notice, my web presense during the day will be practically non-existent due to work transfer into "boiler room" situation. This sucks, I know, but nothing I can do about it unless I get the new position I applied for or CAT goes public, lol.

dns errors, world wide web wide
                by Lex
FYI, there have been a number of reported issues involving DNS/network
access to major internet sites today (www.google.com, www.yahoo.com,
etc) where URLs couldn't be loaded because DNS lookups fail.

This is not just a local problem, but is internet-wide.
