    Volume issue with Android!

    Hey all,

A few weeks ago, I got a notification on my Samsung Galaxy Note for a major firmware update which I did. After the update (Using Google "Play Music"), the max volume output was drastically reduced for music. The phone and speaker phone works fine. The issue is with the music player via headphones. There was also a "Google play Music" update which I also did so I'm not sure which update has caused the issue.

There seems to be many apps out there that boast to increase a phone's overall volume. Does anyone here have any experience with them and/or recommendations??. There are piles of volume increasing apps apparently and I'm not sure if they work or just F**K up your phone.

    Let me know??

So no takers???......Sheesh!. Well, I have a few updates. It appears that certain EQ features on these Phone MP3 players can drastically reduce volume. The less EQ and sound altering effects you use, the more volume you get out of the device.

However, the fact remains is that my overall volume has decreased by about 30% since these updates were done.

ps....I did download some of those 'volume booster' apps on my phone and they do nothing. I finally realized that no app can make a phone produce more power out of the headphone jack. They can reduce volume, but cannot make the phono output produce more......makes sense right??.

Sorry, bud, I'm not an Android user myself, and haven't heard of people having volume issues. I've never even heard of apps that are focused on changing volume!

Well, we're safe for now. Thank goodness we're in a bowling alley.

I have a Galaxy S4. It has the volume notice/warning however, it does allow me to exceed the recommended level. I'm not sure why your Note doesn't allow it as well, especially since both units are Samsung.

            Phone volume issues?
            by madmac
Hey, has anyone noticed volume issues with their phones recently? I listen to a fair amount of music on my Samsung Note phone and it seems that most times I'm listening at maximum volume and it is ok......but not super loud.

With my older phones and various other music players I've had...

So I am going to do it. Looking to get this phone in the next week. And will be going for an Android phone. My work phone has been an iPhone for the past 3 years or so, had a 3GS and currently using a 4S. This is going to be my personal phone and I want to try the Android OS and see all that it has...

Problems with MXEditor Live Update after DPLIIx software update
            by Chris D
Weird. I downloaded the DPLIIx update to two different computers I own, including the new MXEditor software version. Got through the update okay, following the instructions for both Halo Control and MXEditor. So far so good. I ran the MXEditor program Live Update, which downloaded a rather large...

            Official SSP-800 Thread
            by RebelMan

Given the number of piecemeal threads floating around regarding the SSP-800 I felt it would be more useful to consolidate the information we currently know about the upcoming processor into a dedicated thread. I believe it would facilitate better record keeping as more information...

            by Mike_T_
Hey guys, new to the club..lots of great info on here!

Just an observation after my upgrade from 1.37 to 1.50.

I had my speakers calibrated to about 75dB with the volume setting at 61 on the Rotel using the internal test tone. Now, after the update, the volume setting...
