I have an HTPC sort of setup so I use Media Portal and CoreAVC decoder. Media portal is free you'd just have to install your favorite decoder. There are some free ones out there. I kind of like the Nvidia DVD decoder it works pretty nice.Comment

I periodically invest in Cyberlink's top version of Power DVD. I just bought the latest version for my laptop, which has full support for all lossless audio and BD.
Found that it gives maximum performance, you don't have to download extra codecs and worry about being able to play this particular format or that.

I'm wondering something about software patches, if you have an old version of a software program...let's say...winDVD! My copy is like 2.1 so it's older.
Jon was kind enough to send me a 2.61 patch, would this patch also include all the other mods and patches that my copy may not have?

JVC reps dropped by work and showed us their new oh-so-spiffy PJ today.
