    Power sag and spike

A friend discribed a situation of replacing her DVD player every year or so.She had done this about six times.Always the same problem. I thought that it may be spikes or brown outs. After discribing brown outs she discribed to me how her computer monitor dims at times.

What device would allow constant voltage ?

APC has several models with active power output. With or without battery backup.

      Dayton RSS390HF-4 Suspension Sag
      by its_bacon12
Ok, I planned this out to get a pair of RSS390HF-4's and make some LLT sonotubes with them. Problem is I calculated a suspension sag of 5.47%

      I doubt it'll be a problem since I'm not a perfectionist, more of a it's-close-enough-ist.

Wondering if anyone has had any experience...

      Do you spike?
      by RebelMan
I haven't spiked my B&W's yet but I have every intension too. The primary reason having to do with the added control I will have adjusting the axial position of the drivers relative to my seated position. The coupling effects are secondary but I am sure are no less beneficial. Some recent discussions...

to spike 803S or not to spike 803S
      by ninja12
I have my HTS set up in my basement. The is cement with carpet on top of the cement. I was wondering if I should spike my 803S. I'm concerned about the spikes making contact, through the carpet, to the cement floor can causing a negative impact to the sound. Is it ok to spike them or should I just...

To Spike Or Not To Spike ?
      by George Bellefontaine
My Prattquake sub was shipped to me with the spike isolators attached. I had never used spikes before so went ahead and set up the sub as is. However, after playing LOTR Return Of The King, I could hear the sub rattling during the extreme low end scenes, of which there are plenty in this film. I also...

      Spike plates/discs (for 802D)
      by JimTW
We'll be spiking the 802Ds and putting the speakers on solid marble floors.
Anyone have any simple and good looking spike PLATES they've used to
rest the spikes on so not to damage the floor. I saw some from sound
anchor but they are not quite as good looking... perferably something...
