I just use Windows Media Player. I don't do very much listening on my computer, so I don't mess with any EQ or effects.

I've always used Winamp (know the guy who first wrote it), and I've loved it since (even since the guy sold it to AOL).

The Milkdrop plugin does some of the most visually cool effects to music.

My Mac is coming today (hopefully), interested to see what it's media player is like.

Pewter, that reminds me of The Italian Job where the guy created Napster, but his roommate stole it while he fell asleep.

Used to have winamp for years(upto 2.91, didn't like 3/5 series). But then switched to Foobar 2000 about 2years ago or so. A small sized player and uses lesser resources(although winamp wasn't alot, but lesser the better).
It can have multiple play list showed up on the screen that can switch easily.

you just have to add the .flac codec to your computer and winamp will easily play it. so will windows media player and any other "decent" player.

The guy that sold winamp to aol made a killing on the deal...I don't blame him for selling it...even if it was to AO(Hell). lol

It really depends on the function:

                1) Music- Primarily Itunes
                2) DVD-WinDVD, sometimes WM 10

A couple of years ago I used Winamp and RealPlayer extensively.

                Peace and blessings,

I use Zoom Player. It plays pretty much everything provided you download and install the codec for that particular file format; including lossless audio like monkey & flac as well as oog vorbis & others. Oh, and it supports video & skins.

What if the Hokey Pokey really IS what it's all about?

BSPlayer for video, Winamp for audio. Both have very intuitive interfaces and they help you do what you want to do, rather than getting in your way. Both are good at what they were designed for.
