    Balanced power

I thought that my dedicated 20amp line were the end all ? I went to the site for balanced power and downloaded all the FAQ.

I understand that a total system would do justice better, but to get my feet wet, could I start with the 20a line that feeds my line level equipment ? Would i hear sutle changes?

On to bigger area's What size system if any (I'm not sure of the benifits balanced power has on amplifiers )for my three B&K ST-140's and (4) QSC 1450's.Then the NEC projector.

The DIY pages show the building of the boxes and would be a snap to put together.

Now, in my sevice panel earth ground is also neutral, since they combine them all in the box..Seems that my earth ground rod would have to be connected to this power system before it reached the service panel ? Just a little bit more common language would help.

Thanx, this is a very exiting idea.I know, I gotta get out of the house more if this is an exiting idea.
Here is my LCR "Trio". Way to go guys !

In a nutshell BP lowers the noise floor of the AC line (this is called common mode rejection). For most people that provides improvement for both audio and video.

The fact that the ground and neutral are bonded at the main panel, doesn't mean they're supposed to be together anywhere else in the system!

Portable BP devices simply plug into a wall outlet.

If you hardwire in a BP device you just attach it to the black/white/green like any other device.

Don't make any changes to your grounding rod's connection to the main panel nor should you run a direct lead run from the ground rod to the BP device.

If you don't have a reasonable understanding the basics of whole house wiring and how a main panel operates, stick to portable units that just plug into an existing wall socket. The 'magic smoke' released from a botched AC line wiring job is a bit more problematic, than that from a miswired crossover....

DO NOT plug your NEC CRT projector into a BP system. Information gleaned from a long AVS trouble shooting thread, leads us to conclude the NEC FP CRT's power supply doesn't tolerate voltage on the neutral leg. Now we haven't choosen to test this conclusion, given the rather high price of admission for a replacement power supply should our conclusion prove true. Standard (non-balanced) isolation transformers work fine on the projectors, I've always used one of these on my XG.

SSP to Amp Balanced Pinout - Ground Lift: Yes/No?
      by HedgeHog
      Hi all,

I was wondering what the consensus is for balanced cables between an SSP to the amp? Googling seems to indicate a preference towards ground-lifting at the pre/pro side to eliminute buzz/hum (except for mics). However, the SSP-800/CA-5200 manuals hint at all pins connected. ...

Rotel 1098 remote is controlling my NEC HT 1000
      by CSMAB
The remote for the 1098 is trying to control my NEC HT 1000 projector. My NEC is on standby mode until it receives a signal from the NEC remote to power on. For some reason every time I press a button on the Rotel remote the NEC is reading the signal and trying to interpret it. This is annoying since...
