hey guys. i have an xbox and a wireless network in the house (802.11b). i really dont feel like spending $100 on the xbox wireless adapter, is there another way to get the xbox to connect to a network? for instance, can i get like a signal repeater, access point, or bridge or something that i can connect the xbox to?

I can't see why a wireless bridge wouldn't work. You wouldn't be saving all that much money, but you could use it for other PC devices. The linksys WET11 should work for you(~$65), but don't quote me on that. The xbox one comes with some kind of software(I bought one to use in my hotel, but the signal wasn't strong enough

I am having difficulty getting my Linksys SRX MIMO Router to work with
my XboX 360 Wireless adapter.
I was able to link our upstairs Computer and Laptop to the wireless network.
However the XboX 360 will not gain an IP address.
The XboX 360 does get a signal and is locked... -
DLink wireless 11b router with print server (parallel port only).
I've used it for about 1 week and I'm thoroughly impressed. No troubles at all. The network was up an running in about 2 minutes (after it was plugged in).
Their product literature doesn't mention it but... -
I'm attempting to build a new bar in my den, but I'm trying to bridge my living room HT to my bar(meaning, whatever I have playing, music-->iPod via my xbox 360), I want to be able to control it in my den.
