My Ex X-Box

My X-Box bit the big weenie after just 2 months of play. :evil:

It started by not reading my Halo disk and then deteriorated to the point it would only read ANY disk about 20% of the time. Oh well, I can use the break while it goes back to MicroSoft for repair. Sheesh. Anyone else experience anything like this?

My friends Xbox died after about a year, he cleaned the DVD and upped one of the settings, got him another month or two. He's on his second xbox now.

I guess they are disposable.
Or else they just self distruct after awhile.
It could be the result of the blue screen
occurance that we don't see since it is
covered up behind the XBOX control panel screen.

I have had my Xbox since launch (Nov '01?) and it is still working. I have had a few occurrences where I get the dirty disc error, but ironically, it seems to mostly happen on EA games.

I guess my Xbox doesn't like EA's lack of innovation.
