The Gateway has both DVI and VGA outputs- while the compatibility issues regarding levels and EDID are sometimes the cause for hair pulling when trying to connect PC oriented gear to CE oriented displays, good ole VGA is pretty straight forward, and doesn't suffer in quality. For a relatively low res projector like a 4805, the VGA connection should work fine. The DVI connection will probably work OK, too.
