My new 3 way adjustable masking.

Built it last weekend. Got it all mounted and up and running properly this weekend (screen fabric got damaged on the way back to my place so I restretched some new stuff this weekend and I had to move the projector mount back another 6").

Screen is 2:1 (48"x96"). I use the zoom lense and TheaterTek to fill the entire width on 2.35:1 pictures and fill almost the full height on 1.85:1 pictures which results in both aspect ratios occupying very close to the same screen area.

Just some quick pictures for now. I'll update my website in a week or two with better pictures and more details.

Looks great, Dustin. I also use homemade masking on a 52 x 92" screen. My screen is fixed and I use a black cloth on a rod above and below the frame for 2:35, and use two black foam panels that fix to each side for 1:33. Certainly not as nice as your setup but it works.

        Very nice.
I'm interested in how the panels are moved, and how they stay in place.

I created a bottom mask for my 1.85:1 screen, that I manually reposition for 2.35:1 movies. But it only does those two modes.
