Hi all, I wonder if anyone else has heard of this. Every time I power up or power down my Sony 51 " widescreen, I get a flash of red across the screen. I am pretty sure that my red CRT gun is probably toast. Has anyone else had to get theirs fixed? If so, is it a big deal? I would imagine I will have to get my set recalibrated after as well.

Typically, the guns are the life of the set, and also the most expensive thing to replace.
I don't know what the cost would be. I know they are talking 400-500 just to put a convergence amplifier in my Elite.
