    WooHoo, My Z1 arrived

    Just picked up my Z1 from the shipping company a few hours ago. So far I am pretty impressed. With the blinds pulled, not prefect light comtrol (yet), the picture is bright with not to shabby blacks. I'm moving june 1 so I don't have it set up very well, sitting on the coffee table in front of my couch. The fan is no louder than my A/C. I am currently projecting a 75" 16:9 screen (mat white MDF) at a veiwing distance of 10' and just get a hint of screen door with sharp focus. I will probably save any serious tweaking until I move.

          Cool a Z1 report from a local yokel

          Keep us posted Greg. You hooking up to an HTPC or just a progressive player. What's the gear driving this sucker?

              Right now I'm running an interlaced toshiba player, and an XBOX, both are looking pretty good right now. I havn't decided whether to get a prog scan DVD or build an HTPC yet. For my audio, I'm running a Rotel 1055, Bryston 9B, B&W 603, 601, and CC6, with a paradigm PS1000 sub. I'm busy studying for my med school final, so I don't have much free time for tweaking, until May 5. Maybe in early June we can arrange a local meet at my new place.

                      Congrats on the new addition, Greg. I saw this baby demoed and was quite impressed by the quality considering the low price.

                          Finally got my Pioneer 333 in yesterday . Hooked it up and it looks great! I think my yamaha had a more detailed/sharper picture, but the Pioneer definitely has better color. The blues are just bluer, reds are redder, etc....

                          If you own a pair of N802's it's probably best if you don't read this.
                          I have had a pair of 802's for a year and couldn't resist the opportunity of auditioning the new 802D's when the opportunity arrived.
                          I was blown away. I couldn't believe the improvement on what was a very good speaker....

                          Well after 3 1/2 weeks my Rotel RMB-1095 (silver face) has arrived ( I am as excited as a 7 year old in a candystore). I believe this makes my membership to this forum official. I'm still breaking in this beast, (running MIT AVT3 interconnects with a Yami RX-V3200 pre-pro), it's sounding better everyday....
