    Color Wheel lesson.

I have been fighting with red hued Fleshtone for a day and a half now, adjusting all my red controls, and of course putting them back to their calibrated points when they didn't work...then trying different combos...none of that worked. :M
Tonight I was watching the "Hudsucker Proxy" with my sweetie, and it suddenly HIT me.
I should be trying the green controls.
So I got my wife to notice the red hues, and told her of my battles, then ask her...you know what she said? "I'd increase the green, don't you know your color wheel?"...ah, no h:
As soon as she went to bed I got on it, I felt I knew just which green adjustment to make...BRIGHT BIAS...yep that was it.
Then I got this idea that if I wanted Fleshtones to look right for each movie I might have to adjust them on a "per movies basis", so I got out four movies that I knew had different Fleshtones, man sure enough, "Alien Resurrection" looked best with green BRIGHT BIAS set at 58, "the Fifth Element" at 60, "Hudsucher Proxy" and "the Whole Nine Yards best at 61.
    Lesson learned...Kenny

    Fleshtones
    by KennyG
Something is bothering me about my projector.
It's the fleshtones in dark scenes. In light scenes the fleshtone are very good, but in scenes with shadows or darkness, the fleshtones are not very flesh colored, they're more on the blue side.
One of note is in the Fifth Element, just before...

The Whole idea was to buy ONE thing!

Don't you hate it when you go into your local shop to purchase that one piece. Usually a major upgrade or add on component and walk out with 2 or 3 or 4 more items?

Damn It! Mrs. Dog had been putting away some money for sometime , with the intent on giving it to me as a birthday present...

    Bad news!

Last night we were watching TV and all of the sudden: POP 8O

Toshiba RPTV turns off and back on. BUT, when it comes back on it's missing the color red. Just a weird looking and dark blue green color. Either the red gun is dead or theirs a problem on the...

    Date of Manufacture

Is there a way to get a date of manufacture from the serial number. I was reading the 200Mhz video thread. And looking up my serial number.

2 things concern me about my 1066 purchase.

    1) The inside ROTEL box with the green and white tape had not been opened. However, When...

    Panasonic problems
    by Bmac
I've owned two PT units in three years, most recently the PT-AE900U. I love the picture, but I've had it (PT-AE900U) repaired twice. Both times a new power supply was installed. It's now giving me problems again.

The problem: Push the power button, and the fan kicks into high. No picture...
