I've always believed IMHO that plasma was the higher of PLASMA vs LCD. But I look at these LED tv's, (granted there in giant box stores like best buy) and they look pretty damn good. Is LED the new PLASMA? Or slowly surpassing it?

LED is the new Plasma. Plasma's, like LCD's are going obsolete. LED sets are an improvement over all the other formats in regards to performance. Excellent contrast ratio, no image retention or burn in and they use very little power. However, they are still too expensive at this point.Dan Madden :T- Bottom

Yeah they are sill a might to pricey for me.. I will get 1 soon.. But for now.. I will stick to my 60" LCD, 52 RCA Rear and Insignia 32" ( Using it for a PC monitor )Trukindave

I purchased a plasma TV, turned the brightness sharpness and contrast way down right away. After a week I decided to set up the reciever on screen menu to tell it which HDMI was for what source.
