If You Like Thin... The LG LEX8 and LEX9 With Nano LED is for you!

    http://www.engadget.com/2010/08/29/l...-backlighting/

LG claims that thanks to a 'thin film of miniscule dots positioned in front of a full array of LEDs' its Nano Lighting technology -- perhaps of the Nanosys variety it licensed earlier this year -- makes for a clearer, smoother picture, with the slimmest and narrowest outline of any LED TV, ever, at just .88cm thick with a 1.25cm bezel.

Nah. She's a bit skinny for my tastes.

Oh. You mean the TV. Sure, if it's affordable.

I'd imagine you can wall mount it...?

I'm more curious about pricing and availability of other models (there's the 47" "8" and 72" "9" currently....that's a pretty wide gap).

And it still doesn't solve the off axis or motion issues with LCD's. I wish OLED would just hurry up and get here  Still looking like a Panasonic plasma for me next round unless something changes.

Well, we're safe for now. Thank goodness we're in a bowling alley.

Paul Carmody Sprite Build - Carbon Fiber and Blue LED's
I'm in the process of building some Sprite speakers that were designed by Paul Carmody. I am planning to make them full Carbon Fiber, plexiglass and some blue LED's. So far, I am really pleased with the progress. The goal is for these to...

Led Zeppelin I, II & III Remastered (by Page) in 96/24 format
              by aud19

Has anyone else heard these yet?! Cranked I and III up last night and my goodness it sounds like Page lubed up his guitar and slid it slowly, lovingly in to my ears.

If you're a classic rock/Zep fan you owe it to yourself to hear these remasters. They're on a whole other level...

              LED Projectors
              by Dean McManis
One of the things that bugged me the most about digital projectors was the bulb use, and cost. Of course the improvements in projector bulb life and cost are much better than with my first JVC G1000. Whose bulb cost $1200 to replace and lasted 1000 hours. 8O

What YouTube Music Video are You Listening to?
              by Johnloudb
Okay, I have to admit I'm a bit stupid and naive about YouTube. ops: I just thought it was mostly people posting their home movies, political opinions, and such. Anyhoo, Russ L mentioned he looked up some music on YouTube, and I decided to check out KT Tunstall on YouTube, after Russ recommended...

              Thermal Protection LED's
              by Daymond
I own an Adcom GFA-7000 5 channel amp which includes LED's for Thermal Protection. If I understand correctly, these LED's are only supposed to light when any individual channel overheats; the amplifier's thermal-protection circuit shuts down and a red LED on the front panel will light up until the temperature...
