    Mits WD57831 DLP temperature sensor

Good evening all. Been having problem with new mits (purch jan.07)- temp sensor "reading" that the room temp getting too high and/or air flow is blocked. Unit has plenty of space above, behind, to the sides. I get a warning msg that the set will be turning off, sceen goes blank, an orange/amber light comes on lower righthand side of base.
it can be reset but happening more frequently and only after a few minutes sometimes. Anyone else have this problem?

Yes, we've had two units about the same age do it within the last month. Both units were repaired at the customers home, time to call Mistu to set up a repair.

This is generally not a sensor nor a temperature problem but a bad connection to the sensor on the lamp. Mitsubishi's current recommendation is to remove the in-line connector altogether and solder the wires together. This should be done under warranty on a set the age of yours.

Take them outside to play in the sun, board/card games, make some art, do some baking...etc :

Mine had the same issue, as did another co-worker who bought the same model. We both had new light engines replaced per Mitsubisihi. Now, they think it is just a thermistor or temp sensor that is the problem...it might be positioned too close to the exhaust.

Anyway...it fixed the problem for a few months, but it is starting to do it again.....of course it may be too hot in my room...AC broke....around 82 inside right now....Im sure the TV doesnt like that.
