    New Samsung LN-S3251D LCD TV

Has anyone seen the new Samsung 32" LCD TV (LN-S3251D)? It has two HDMI inputs and a swivel base. Any thoughts on this model? Thanks!

Samsung claims to have a 4000:1 contrast ratio and a built in tuner. Is this contrast ratio a good thing for LCD tv? I have never owned an LCD tv before, currently have a 50" Sony LCD RPTV. Also, do you have any idea of Samsung's LCD tv reliability? CC has this model for $1799 and the Sony Bravia is almost an additional $1000. Is the Sony that much better? Thanks!

contrast ratio means nothing, as each manufacturer devises its own measuring system, some refuse to state it at all, best "contrast ratio" in an lcd, ie ability to do darks that i have seen is the xbr

samsung has worse reliability and average performance for its price class has been my observation but none the less very popular

sony "bravia" aplies to all thier lcds
i assume you are refering to the 32" XBR
... you get what you pay for
