    Hewlett Packard's 65" 1080P Microdisplay TV

I didn't know that HP was in the Big Screen TV business, maybe I am just slightly behind the times.

    Here's the link:

    Your thoughts are welcome.

    Peace and blessings,

They are one of the very few that allow you to feed 1080P via HDMI. I'm still leary because of the HP name though.

There was a recent review in Home Theater Mag that compared this with the Sony, Mits, Tosh, Sammy, and JVC, who do think got the best rating?

If I remember correctly I believe it was the Sony wasn't it...? I think the Samsung was next in line with the caveat that you need to disable their edge enhancement.

If I am not mistaken the HP also allows for 1080P to be input via component video as well. I am 90% sure about that. I have the 58 inch version in the living room of my house. The only thing that I am pissed, and I do mean PISSED is the little hooks that hold the front panel closed, broke after a couple of months! I have to use velcro on the inside to keep the stupid front panel shut!

It has a softer picture than the SXRD that is for sure, but the HP sure as heck looks better in the LR than the Sony. The SXRD is one ugly unit. Great picture but ugly!

Eddie, isn't that the issue were they sort of compaired the HP, but could not "offically compair it" due to price points or something??? Is that the same issue?

Thanks Jason! I thought that was the issue that Eddie was refurring to.

There is always going to be something wrong with our TV's. And in 4 months there is always going to be something better.

But I like the HP for my house. It looks nice in the living room, has a good PQ, and the wife is happy! Plus she said that I can not do anything else to the living room for a LONG time! She wants a fence, and hardwood floors before one more thing gets changed HT wise!
