    Panasonic TH50PHD8UK

    Hey Experts,

I just ordered the Panny TH50PHD8UK. Does anyone else have this yet? I just want to know if this was a good choice. Any advice/feedback will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

I have one, it's a nice set. Good bang for the buck, nice picture. It's a presentation monitor rather than a TV, so it doesn't have a built-in tuner. You can get add-on cards to add different input types such as HDMI.

Note that it uses BNC connectors, not RCA, so take that into consideration when buying cables.

Well, one learns from experience. When we hung mine, I had to run out and buy BNC adapters at RadioShack.

I can highly recommend the Panasonic plasma sets. My friend has one and it produces a lovely picture in both SD and HD.

Thanks All for reassuring my purchase. I can't wait to see this thing in action. Any recommendations on a wall mount? I know Panasonic has a standard one, but any aftermarket ones that seem to work better?

                  Peerless Wall mount

yes! stand by for the link! This mount is the HEAT! It is my first mount of choice!

You have the clips that mount to the TV. You have the base that you mount on the wall. Then you just grab the TV and hook it to the base. Simple, easy to use. Has forward tilt. This is the best mount that I have used! Lots of flexability with this mount. Also with the hooks you can have the mount off center, but the TV dead on. You just slide the TV over on the mount. Very Easy to use! :5:

We use the Premier mounts extensively in our installs, and I used one for my TH50PHD8UK as well. They work great, they're sturdy, and are easy to hang. The PCM-MS2 has a forward tilt, and you can slide the TV on the rails to center it even if the rails aren't centered due to stud location, etc.

I recently bought the TH50PHD8UK after I saw my buddy's new display. This thing has a great picture and a super value. We both purchased the UT-PRO from Pro Mounts. It's easy to install it tilts and adjusts side-to-side.

My friend bought rca to bnc adapters at Radio Shack. He also added the HDMI board and hooked up Directv HD to it via that way. His dvd player is the RP82 hooked up via component.
