weird hdmi color

i have a panasonic th-50px50u plasma. i have a direct tv hughes satellite reciever hooked up. i had it on component and everything looked good. i ordered a dvi to hdmi adapter. i hooked it up with the dvi cable and the adapter and the colors are totally out of whack.

on standard definition channels people are blue.
on high definition the colors are better but still not right. also it looks more pixelated than with the component.

what should i do?

First try a different cable and adaptor. But sounds like to me something may be defective on the DVI/hdmi input if those dont' fix the problem

you were right. the hdmi port on the tv is defective. they picked the tv up today for repair.
