    Vidikron Plasma Displays

What are your opinions on Vidikron Plasma Displays? I am thinking of purchasing one based on there warranty and some good things I've heard about them. I know they are basically a Runco that is some what scaled down. They also claim to have a zero pixel defect on their glass.

Any opinions good or bad? I am also considering Pioneer and Pioneer Elite as well as Fujitsu.

I've always liked Elite products, they usually don't disappoint. The Vidikron or Runco "could" be overpriced for what you are getting, but I'd have to do some comparisons to say for sure. I do know as high end companies, they have to maintain some margin on something. I'd like to think that any retailers is going to give you a zero dead pixel warranty, and send the unit back immediately if there were dead pixels. Yes, some could possibly say it's a warranty repair only though and not replace the unit immediately with a new one.

It would pay to find out their policy for this in advance regardless of what product you decide on...

It is said in some groups that Fujitsu has the best plasma on the market. I think they are awesome, just way out of my price range! They definatly are up there in price that is for sure. And they are currently offering a 1500 cash back rebate on the 55 inch plasma and higher. 500 on 50 inch and below. (I Think it is 500 ) Pioneer is also a very nice Plasma. Probably the best bang for the Buck is still going to be Panny. But if you have the money and are sold on Plasma, Fujitsu is a very nice TV. :yesnod:
The Bitterness of poor quality last longer than the joy of low prices.

The 3 listed: Panny, Pioneer and Fujitsu are considered the top 3. From least to the best(at the top end of the scale).

Pioneer has recently came out with a new panel that fixes their contrast issues(they were less than Panasonic) so I would definitely consider one of them.

Yup Panny = best bang for the buck. Pioneer Elite = slightly better quality for slightly more money. Fujitsu = the best money can buy, just make sure you bring enough $$

            RDC-7: 2 or 3 years warranty?
            by Razvan
On the warranty card that came with my RDC-7 it's written that the warranty period for Integra Research receivers is 2 years parts and labor while for CD, DVD players and Plasma monitors it is 1 year parts and labor. No word on what the warranty for processors is. As far as I know Integra Research doesn't...

            KE32TS2 32 inch plasma display
            by Lex
Well, I quitely added this TV to supplement my front projection since I saw real quickly that I was going to crank a lot of hours on my PJ in a hurry. It's an HDTV monitor, the following applies: (Extracted from Plasma Depot since it was actually better than Sony's writeup.) I won't address each feature...

Current Projectors vs. 4 yr. old Runco
            by htsteve
My 4 year old Runco RS-900 had developed an intermittent picture issue (picture 'reorders the columns' on the right side). Sometimes happens, sometimes doesn't.

I'm planning to have it diagnosed. But initial research suggests it maybe a video board. As it is out of warranty, that's...

denon 3910 to fujitsu plasma via HDMI?
            by larry_c
            Hello,

I am having unexpected problems. I connected a denon 3910 to a fujitsu plasma. I used hdmi from the 3910 to the fujitsu plasma and analog audio to the receiver (nad 773). The visuals do not show on the plasma. In the meantime I have used component connection (from 3910 to screen),...

Rotel 1060 Video connection with 1098/Plasma.
            by >>Angel<<
            Dear Rotel enthousiasts,

Yesterday I bought a Pioneer plasma screen to complete my Rotel setup
After concluding all the (required) connections I found out that there's a problem displaying (progressive or not) an 1060 image on the Plasma screen.
            I really hope...
