re-lamping of DLP and LCD lamps

I work for EELE Laboratories and we have a working process for re-lamping spent DLP and LCD lamps. Lamps can be from ether TV's or projectors we can process both in about the same time frame. Right now we are looking into the demand for the process. If you have any other questions please contact me.

Your not very specific what you are looking for here Joseph, as well any commercial research should come through management of this forum.

I'll allow your post on a limited basis, but task that you clarify exactly what you are looking for here and be specific. But if it turns into "sales", then you all will need to advertise on this forum as other commercial ventures do.

    thanks.

What does it roughly cost to re-lamp a bulb?
That would determine whether it's more economical to re-lamp or replace.
And are re-lamped bulbs typically warrantied for a period of time against failure?

Well George, i did look at their web site, and I didn't see anything about direct sales really. So, maybe not.

All the companies involved in this sort of thing are direct sellers. I'd be surprised if this one isn't. And if it isn't now, it probably will be. A good part of my life in the publishing industry involved marketing and its many tricks. One of the tricks is to get someone to respond to see if there is a demand for your product, and the respondent then becomes the potential customer. And most companies are willing to pay to get this kind of feedback. However, you're the owner, Doug, so it's your call.

Brian, there are few companies out there doing this sort of thing. Pricing seems to be a tad more than half the cost of the original lamp. If they are reputable they will offer warranties. But I have read that results on this sort of thing is mixed. Some PJ owners were happy and some not. As for me, I'll pay more and stick with the mfrg.'s original replacement. I just feel safer that way.

Joseph has salesman stamped on his forehead, unless of course he is doing it for free.

Like I said we are looking into the demand of the process. If this looks like something people do want it may become a sales company. But for now we aren't. If you feel that I have to change something for my posts I will. Right now I'm just looking to find who does re-lamping and who wants to do it?

I'm sure that the potential demand would be directly related to the price, quality, and lifespan of relamped bulbs. It is certainly true that most projector bulbs are pretty high priced. But relamping sounds to me to be similar to retreads on used tires.

There certainly could be a market for them at the right price.
But there would have to be a strong record (studies) of major corporate use that showed that they wouldn't implode or burn out right away.

ok, well I think you've found limited response. That's all we can give for free, so please sign up to advertise if your company decides to sell these. Otherwise, please consider the subject closed at HTGuide.

                    thank you.

                      Hi all,

do you have experience of that your LCD projectors are fading in contrast and loose color correctness and uniformity over time, say 1500-2000h?

I just read a report that tested long time performance between several DLP and LCD projectors. This report clearly points...

$3000 to spend - DLP vs LCD vs LCoS
                      by Gatobrit
                      Hi,
I have a budget of around $3000 to spend, plus or minus a little.

I am looking for a 42/50" set. I don't want a monolithic RPTV due to space restrictions and also I would like to avoid calibration issues in the future.

                      I don't need a HDTV tuner built-in...

                      by DSGCobra
I am currently in the market for a widscreen tv. I have narrowed it down to 2 now, the 50 Sony Grand Wega LCD RP and the 50 Samsung DLP RP (HLM507W). I have seen both and they both look really good, picture quality is impressive on both. Both are around the same price. I like the DLP better than the...

                      Hi!

I just purchased the Toshiba 57HX93 last weekend and have it installed into our family room. High Defination broadcasts are aquired courtesy of the Bell ExpressVu 6000 HD Satelite Receiver.
We had made some changes in the house in which the downstairs Theater room was converted...

Hell I'm almost ready to call it quits. I would however like to put my choice for evaluation on my application before you for scrutiny.

Looks like a RP DLP LCD in 50" to 52" is for my needs. If somthing comes out beating the DLP then? I have windows and end table lamps that...
