Lamp life on Sony 42 in. RP LCD?

I just had my lamp fail on a Sony KF 42WE610 at 11 mos, so it's still under warranty and they're sending a replacement.

I figure my average daily use is around 4 hours on the days we do watch TV, which is not everyday, so the most hours this could have is 1400 and likely closer to 1000.

What's anyone else's experience on a similar RP LCD, Sony or otherwise?

Generally they are supposed to last 4-6,000 hours but LCD/DLP sets have been notorious about blowing out their bulbs early. What you had was an early failure and not related to the average lamp life of one.
