    Panasonic PT-AE700U cleaning

I've had this projector for about a month. Not even 100 hours on it but I see a lot of dust inside. Anybody knows how could you clean it? Can it be done without sending it to a professional shop? I read some ideas about using a air blowing can but I am not sure I want to do that

hey buzescu, not sure if you checked out the AVSFORUM yet. Not too familar with the rules on this forum, but do a search for it on your search engine for avsforum. They have much more members on there and a very detailed section for projectors in the similar price range as the 700. I'm sure you'll find the answer that you're looking for there.

Sometimes cleaning lcd projectors can cause you more grief than not. There are horror stories about this, especially when using canned air improperly and getting goo on the lcd panels. If you are not seeing any dust blobs in your projected image, I wouldn't worry about the dust. I have owned 3 lcd projectors and have never had problems with dust blobs . Why not ? Simple, vacuum that filter every month or every 30 to 50 hours, and if possible, try to keep your HT as dust free an environment as possible.

        not sure

I am not sure if to clean it or not... I don't see big patches of dust but I do see a lot of dust inside the lens. Is this normal?
I will also check the other forum.

Cleaning need for piano lacquer: bigger than the wood finish??
          by gerardhn
          Hi all,

Now the new black piano lacquer is on the market for some time.... what about its cleaning needs.

In the old 802+ series, I had to remove weakly a thin layer of white dust from the marlan head. The wooden body needed no care.

          Of course horizontal...

          Speaker grilles & cleaning
          by rotel&energy
This is kind of a dumb question, but it popped into my head last night as I was taking the grilles off my speakers to admire them. Is there any problem w/ leaving the speaker grilles off all the time? I can't imagine that there is, except maybe more dust settling on them. I guess they may be a little...

          Cleaning Rotel Equipment
          by MitchellD
I've been enjoying my Rotel set-up for a couple of years now but am embarrassed to say that beyond Swiffering the dust and cat hair off occasionally I've done absolutely no maintenance or cleaning whatsoever. I know that I should be wiping the contacts every once in a while, but is there something else...

          Hello.

I need some suggestions or advice on maintaining/cleaning the High Gloss Gloss finish on my speakers.

I have one pair in the High Gloss Piano Black, and two pair in the High Gloss Yew finish.

Mostly I'm dealing with dust gathering on the top of the...

          Cleaning 803D tweeter housing...
          by kking168
          Hi everybody,

I'm new to this board, so this may have been asked already. What do you recommend using to clean the painted surface of the 803D tweeter housing? I used the microfibre cloth that came with the speakers and it introduced hairline scratches. The cloth was dry, no cleaning...
