    Mitsubishi 62" DLP WD-62525 Calibration - HELP

Im not 100% sure if this is the correct place to post this kind of question, so if its not please forgive me as I am a little new to these forums

I just purchased a Mitsubishi 62" DLP WD-62525 Television yesterday. My problem is the TV is a little "off" and the geometry is messed up. Like for instance if there is a line on the bottom of the screen, its not straight. Its more bowed towards the left side.

Basically what I need to do is adjust the geometry settings on my TV like I would on my computer monitor. Is there a way to do this? I have messed around with the settings and havent found anything that helps me. I have been in few service menus aswell but to be honest I dont understand what the menus mean. (like I understand HPOS being Horizontal Position, but I dont understand BOFF and ROFF, etc) So I decided not to play around too much untill I get a better understanding of whats going on.

Any and All information is greatly apreciated. Thanks In Advance!

Spend the money and have the set professionally calibrated by an ISF tech. It's worth the money IMO.

I would actually rather do it myself instead of bringing in a professional. The picture itself looks fine, minus the bowed bottom. If I could adjust it then I would be set.

Quite franky, all those settings in there that you don't know what they are... If you don't know what they are, don't touch them. That's what professionals are for. They're there for a reason.

I don't know how to reprogram the engine management computer in my car and I sure am not going to fiddle with it. If I want it adjusted, I go to the dealer, a qualified mechanic/technician or a performance supply company....

Actually I just noticed it's a DLP set and not CRT... Return it to the store and get a replacement. There should be absolutely no need for geometry adjustment on a DLP set, it's defective. Sorry I missed that earlier.

            A defective unit? Really?

I find it hard to believe that there wouldnt be just some adjustment that would fix my problem.

As far as I know if there's any geometry problems with DLP's it's an uncorrectable problem/flaw in the actual chip.
