DVI -I can be converted to RGBHV with an appropriate connector/adatper-
DVI -D is strictly digital...
Most PC's output DVI-I, and can be converted to RGBHV/VGA in a pinch. Most consumer DVD players output DVI-D, though the Momitsu is an exception. For players using DVI-D, it takes a fairly sophisticated converter, like the one Dtronics makes or RAM Electronics, in order to convert it to RGBHV.
I don't know of anyone making a converter for DVI-D to component.
Does this help? Any particular application issue?
