CDP-XXX / IDE to SATA converter

Looks like someone is offering a conversion kit for Classe CDP players.

Since the Teac DV28SL drive has been put to pasture this may be a saving grace for anyone with a unit with a bad Teac drive. Seller claims you can use any slot load drive but I thought Classe was using an older Sony drive? Years ago I experimented with a couple derivative Teac slot load drives to no avail. Price seems a little stiff for an IDE to SATA converter but what do I know....

Yes it's me. I tried 15 different slim drive (CD / DVD and some Bluray). Everything worked, some faster or slower. But the original teac is the fastest.

That's great that you did this.

At least owners now have an option to keep their CDP's going. Thankfully I found an extra Teac drive a few years back. I enjoy my CDP too much not to keep it going....

Hi, this looks like what I need, good find! But the ebay link doesn't work or at least the item doesn't show. I am based in the UK if that makes a difference?

Anyone know where one is available please?

        Cheers
