    SanyoPLVZ2 => cannot reach maxi resolution (dvi+geforce4)

    Hello !!

    - I use a Shuttle sn41g2 v2 (it contains a NVIDIA GeForce4 chipset) with a cv22 DVI AGP Card.
    - My OS is XP Pro sp2
    - I have a Sanyo PLV Z2

    I have some problems :?

I use a Nvidia Driver (66.93, the latest)
I put "Auto mode selection" for Full Screen playing in settings panel.

The best mode is to use DualView ... I think.

    I have a lcd (main monitor, 1024x768,60Hz)
I want to use my PLVZ2 at the maxi resolution (1280x720)

    I did these tests:

A**** Sanyo is the secondary monitor!
    1/ play a HD 1280x720p file
ok, Sanyo plays .... but at D-SVGA (800x600)
If I use the 4:3Normal screen, i just have a little image
I must Zoom to fill my screen :x

    2/ play a DVD
Seems to be OK ... of course, comparated to HD, DVD is poor format:
    800x600 + zoom is enough

B**** Sanyo is the main monitor!
I succeeded in creating a custom settings in NVIDIA but... all darkest parts of picture seems to be "in the matrix " => little green lines are blinking !

    I went to these links:
    - http://entechtaiwan.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=459

Ok, I use powerstrip ; but My Sanyo seems to try D-XGA and .... fall again & again in D-SVGA

MonInfo gives me a strange result :
    3 Monitors :
    1 Nvidia...GPU
    1 Nvidia...GPU2
    1 Sanyo

Did someone already see these phenomenon ?
Did you find a solution ?
Powerstrip is a layer over Nvidia.
Which one do I customize ? Powerstrip? Nvidia ? nvidia first ?

    I'm losing my mind ....
Anyway, I can use my Z2 but I cannot sleep quietly because I know that it can do better

If someone could guide me ... it should be great

    SeeU!

nb: If I succeed, I write all my settings in a post in order the others could read it and never become craziest than me :!:

    Julien,

This is using an RGB/VGA connection from PC to projector right?

Did you try the standard 1280 X 720p mode from the NVidia card first?

I have used Powerstrip for years, but it has so many controls that you can produce a picture that your projector cannot easily sync to.

After trying the default 720p mode from the card, I'd try the default 720p made built into Powerstrip.

If none of these work, I'd suspect the video card driver or the Z2's internal scaler.

Try displaying 720p on one of your monitors first, then swap the VGA connection over to the Z2.

Since you have dual screen capability I'd either mirror the display of the projector onto the monitor to see the picture while you change the refresh rates through Power strip, or I'd extend the desktop and move the Powerstrip control window over to the monitor to change the refresh rate settings to see what resolutions to Z2 does sync to.

    -Dean.

      Hello !
      Thanks for your info

I'm using a DVI connection in order to send 720p

problem may be my Geforce4 included in my shuttle + the DVI AGP card.

If I put my second screen in 1024x728 (D-XGA mode in Sanyo), when I send a 1280x720 signal, Sanyo try to change its mode and .... rechange in D-XGA or, in D-SVGA (800x600)

      weird things !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
