    A question

Quck question, if I may. A post I wrote for Red Carpet went from "waiting for approval" to "Unapproved". May I ask why that is so? It certainly wasn't a spam post, and I don't think I violated any forum rules. If I made an error with my post I would appreciate knowing, so I can avoid such in the future. Thank you for your time.

I can only guess, not being deep into the administrative end of things, but it may have been a "time out" of sorts, ran down the clock before a relevant mod approved it. I've been on travel for over a week until yesterdays, and I mainly work in the DIY and Digital part. I'll go see what I can do...

Is this the post that didn't get approved?

*Door opens with a slow creak, looks around,.* It's been far too long since I was active here. So many good people don't seem to be around anymore. Lex, Nick, Dougie... So many names I remember, fewer than I can't recall at the moment. Ovation, Dan, Steve, Jon, Chris, and Bill. Especially Bill. From wkhanna I learned

It may have been due to not logging into the forum and being active. The new spam controls in place flag posts from accounts that are not active or haven't been used in a while. I've learned that from fixing images and links in the DIY section posts. It's been a year of trying to recover as much from photobucket as I could, fixing broken php4 links, recovering images from imgur, and other sources. The default is now set to upload any photo you post to the forum now and we no longer encourage external photo hosting. To preserve all the information this forum has created over the last 2 decades I've been promoting photo uploads to the forum. This will keep posts from losing images that really made the stories shared here something to read, learn, and enjoy.

Glad to have you back around. As the forum got upgraded and the supporting pieces underneath upgraded (Operating System, DNS, database, mail server, web server, etc) more people have been coming back to the forum.

A gentle reminder... Choose your forum carefully
        by Lex
I am noticing an increased propensity of cross posts that are very specific in nature to areas such as video, audio, diy, etc... all showing up in the Chalet.

Now, we don't bust your chops on this stuff at htguide, that's a fact. Can anyone remember the last time a moderator moved a thread?...

What's the most ridiculous "pre-approved" CC offer you've gotten?
        by Kevin P
As a guy with excellent credit (but who hates to use it ) I am constantly inundated with "pre-approved" credit card offers in the mail. Before tearing them up and using them to light the wood stove, I always like to read the fine print to see what kind of "catches" there are, and...

        Fixing a B&W DM602 s2 crossover
        by Purple-font
        Hi Guys,

I need a hand to fix a crossover for a set of B&W DM602 s2 speakers. I picked them up as a "for parts" sale, and since they had been so badly mistreated I thought I would help them to feel better. So far tweeters repaired, but I need help on a crossover. The two...
