my quotes don't say who I've quoted.

How come I see quotes snagged from other people's posts, with a note at the top saying "Headcheese said"... then the quote.

But mine just have the quoted text in a quote box?

They've probably used the QUOTE button instead of the REPLY button - this automatically copies the name of the person being quoted.

You can also code this yourself using the syntaxt {QUOTE=name}text to quote{/QUOTE} - just replace the { brackets with square brackets when you type the command.

Like what Aussie Geoff said, the "Originally posted by Foo" is a result of using [ quote=Foo] instead of just [ quote]. Here's an example:

Man who run in front of car get tired

If you use the Reply w/Quote button on the post you're replying to this gets inserted automagically.
