If the Superbit is an improvement over the Special Edition picture-wise, it ought to be stunning. But I REALLY want to hear that DTS soundtrack - yeah baby!

The contrast and black levels are said to be great on the 4805, so this film should look good on your screen, Aaron. :T

George, I just got the extended uncut version, and it does indeed look fantastic on the 4805. I cannot imagine a better picture, but we shall see I guess. Expect a review of the Superbit enhancements(if any) from either David or myself. Im sure both of us will comment anyways :B

Great flick. No doubt, Kate is truly a piece of A. She's the British version of Angelina Jolie (almost, that is).

Probably the loudest movie I've ever played on my system.
I remember that no matter how low I turned the volume down it wasn't enough for my wife. I think she walked out of the room on that one and of course I turned it back up. Nice!

This isn't the extended cut. Did you find that the extended cut helped at all? I personally didn't care for the movie and I'm undecided if I want to catch the extended or not..

Otoh, I plan to rent Van Helsing. It's a perfect movie for shit pizza night.

I thought the extended version was a bit better as it filled out some of the relationships. But, it probably wasn't enough to change someone from not liking the movie to liking it.

Dont bother with the extended if you didnt like the original.

we have total opposite tastes when it comes to movies, lol. I loved Underworld and thought van helsing was just as good. I cant wait for that dvd!
