Yeah, Bam, this film was discussed a while back. That hospital scene was hilarious, wasn't it. And what I like about Jack recently is the fact he is playing his age, as he did also in ABOUT SCMIDT.

Even though I had the DVD for sometime' I just didn't get around to watching it ... till last nite.

The result? Laffed my head off. I think that Jack Nicholson has to rate as one of the best actors ever. His mannerisms / twitching of eyebrows / scowls / hair etc etc really contri bute to any scene he's put in. As a comedic actor I think he's one of the rare few who have got their timing just right to obtain the maximum effect. Another that comes to mind is Billy Crystal.

My admiration for Jack is also that he can do other roles (A Few Good Men / The Shining etc - all different types). De Niro is another multi charqacter actor as well.

Anyway i agree with George that the hospital scene was hilarious. The other was the "walking around at 2am" and the "intruder at the fridge" scene.

The movie started well but I felt it slowed down towards the end. The brilliance of the 1st half was not matched by the sentimentality of the 2nd. Also saw "Love Actually" recently and comparing between the 2, I think "Something's Gotta Give" is better !

I just watched this one myself. As everyone has said, this is a very good film. I laughed and laughed and laughed. Keaton really had great chemistry with Nicholson. As great as Nicholson is, I think it was Keaton that makes this film's magic. Maybe I'm under selling Nicholson's performance. but, I expect nothing less form Nicholson than what he delivered in this and every other film that I've seen him in.
