    Love, actually

Very funny film, and the DVD is produced very well. If anything appeals to you about this movie, go ahead and buy it. And a ton of screen talent (Liam Neeson, Emma Thompson, Colin Firth, Keira Knightley, Alan Rickman, Hugh Grant and more).

There's a bit of swearing, and some non-sexual nudity, well actually its not non-sexual, yet it is. So don't pop it in for the younger kids.

This won't be a collectible for me, but I do plan on renting it soon.

I thought that the movie was a bit too much like a Hallmark greeting card.
An icon of what a romantic holiday movie is supposed to look like. :
But it's bound to be a favorite of women everywhere, and the bits with the aging rock star are very funny. 8)

It's a good date film and light romantic comedy rental, but I won't be buying it on DVD.

          Hey Brandon, I don't think he's calling you a woman. That'd require proof! :W I think it's more like he's calling you a "girly man". :B

Oh gawd, what's Dean gonna think, I already own it! :E

Yeah, it's a little kitchy and predictable in spots, but compared to a lot of the dreck that get's released, it's a decent film, and when you have a chance to get it for les than it cost to go to the movie with a friend, what the hay!

Let's hear it for low sale prices on new DVD's!

Guys can like good chick-flicks too. There's nothing wrong with that. :P
It's just out of Richard Curtis's (the writer) films, I prefer both Notting Hill and Four Weddings and a Funeral (and most of the Mr. Bean shows) much more than this effort of his.
Love, Actually had it's moments, but the movie just didn't win me over like his other films.

Notting Hill is a favorite of ours, too. We haven't seen Love Actually yet, but it's on the rental list. With the acting horse-power on display, it should be a treat just watching the actors/actresses work together.

Just watched it on PPV last night... Not too shabby :T Definitely does it's best to get you feeling all warm and fuzzy by the end. Plenty of good laughs and some heart tugging, overall a pleasant movie for some light Thursday night movie watching

The best part was the GF getting all cuddly and lovey...we all know what that leads to

Yes, it leads to kids, lots of diapers, babysitter fees, daycare, increased auto insurance, college tuition, larger house (mortgage payment), STRESS. Oh wheee. . . . :bash:

He was just describing the joys of what comes after that little tune (the Wedding March) by Mendelssohn... not telling you to avoid watching "Love, Actually". :>)

Jersey Boys (BD) - I spun this on Blu Ray the other day and was happy I chose to watch it in BD format. The sound track on this movie is dynamic, exceptional and engaging. I'm always impressed with how good BD discs sound compared to DVD. This film by Clint Eastwood is about the rise...

This futuristic (?) drama stars Keira Knightley, Carey Mulligan and Andrew Garfield. It begins when they are children in what appears to be a very special English boarding school and we follow them into adulthood to where they have to come to terms with not only the love they have for one another, but...

Last night, my family and I had a terrible time finding a DVD we all could enjoy together.

Finally, on the fourth DVD, we found one we enjoyed, Nanny McPhee.

The screen play was written by the great actress, Emma Thompson, and the feature actors are her and Colin Firth....
