Can't beat those old Universal horror flicks. There's a set out now, also, that has the first original DRACULA, THE WOLFMAN, and FRANKENSTEIN.

I luv these movies, too... have all the individual releases from a few short years ago, but I'll be grabbing these new sets, as well. Big news is that Bride Of Frank has a better looking transfer this time around.

Lon Chaney's wolfman used to scare the heck out of me as a kid...the fog, the full moon, the gypsies, the violins...

Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein were my favorites of the series and I believe I watched them over and over and over as a kid. Gee, back then they used to show all these good movies on TV. The price is right and I'm going to buy the package.

Thanks Claude for passing the word. I wouldn't have even had a clue...

Hey, Claude, where'd you get the DVD's? Just went over to Deep Discount DVD and couldn't find it there. Thanks.

Like Keith, the WOLFMAN scared the heck out of me as a kid. I still think Lon Chaney's wolfman is the scariest ever.

VOOM! More HDTV is coming October 15, 2003
                    by Sonnie Parker
The new satellite company VOOM will be offering it's new service on October 15th. I've been following this and it could get really interesting. Now that I have had a taste of HDTV through Dish Network I want more.

For $749 up front and $39.90 per month VOOM offers a receiver, dish, OTA...

                    Favorite Horror DVD's
                    by Danbry39
While working on the computer yesterday, I had the TV on in the background and the show was on the all-time scariest movies.

So, I was thinking, I like to be frightened. But, what to get. Ah, the good folk at HTG might have some interesting ideas.

                    What are your favorite...

                    Halloween and spooky movies
                    by Gordon Moore
With Halloween fast approaching I thought it would be fun to create a list of those special horror/thriller type movies that run in the vein (pun intended) of Halloween.

Here are some of my favs:

                    American Werewolf in London
                    The Howling
                    Dracula (Coppola's)...

                    Nightmare vs Friday The 13th
                    by George Bellefontaine
Hollywood must be desperate for new horror material. Look for Freddy versus Jason, I believe this month. Not for this fellow, though. I enjoyed the first Nightmare and the first 13th, but the sequels really got to be ridiculous.

Real hardcore horror fans will probably rejoice. Sorta reminds...

                    The Wolfman/the remake
                    by George Bellefontaine
The old Universal Pictures original version of The Wolfman (1941) scared the living hell outta me the first time I saw it. And it still scares me today. The remake, starring Benicio Del Toro and Anthony Hopkins, is a pale version of the original. In fact, they've changed the story dramatically, and...
