    T3

Hi all...................I wrote this over "At the Movies" in response to threads written on the subject. I saw T3 last night on DVD and I have to agree with Chris and David. I totally respect the opinions of the afore writers, but I for one was disappointed. If Cameron had anything to do with this film, this thread would still be on the top at the box office. (My opinion). I was so anxious to see this film and waited for it to come out on DVD. First I was shocked to find out it's already out, then when I fired up the DVD it didn't give me any audio options > *DD., DTS., or the usual even the optional THX intro (not that the THX would make that much difference). I hope that there is a T3 se in the works cause I for one expect more.
I think that the stunts and story lines mirrored T2. Yes the Terminator first walks into bar, yes the termintor gets his clothes from there, yes he puts the glasses on, yes the first battle with the Terminator and girl had to be in a narrow hallway, yes the chase had in involve a truck and a bike, yes they had to drive out of the city in a beatup car, please let me stop now!!

Like the Matrix I need a quick fix on this one too, real fast. I hope Arnold can find the time and better yet still act tough and rugged.

One thing your forgetting is that the terminator is programed in the future and maybe just maybe with information gathered from the past. eg: get clothes at bar, get motorcycle for transport, sunglasses etc.

yes the first battle with the Terminator and girl had to be in a narrow hallway
Actually first battle was at the vet clinic parking lot.

yes the chase had in involve a truck and a bike, yes they had to drive out of the city in a beatup car, please let me stop now!
trucks do more damage and he was already on the bike. As far as the beatup car what else can you expect when you do battle with a crane and a toyota?

This is a leave your brain at the door and eat the popcorn movie. Nothing more. If they do a 4th one I hope James Cameron comes back on board.

What I've read so far gives me the impression this flick is cover to cover action with not much of a story line. That's okay. I'll just have lots of popcorn handy. Picked up my copy yesterday and will be watching it sometime next week.

I'm kinda mixed about this installment. This is very much an action flick. And that is good. I like the fact the the new teminator does not hesitate doing her job when she has located her target. I loved the ending. And the chase scene (crane) though stretched, was fun none the less. And I had no problem with a lot of the answers as to why things came together from the first two films.

I did have a problem with most of the lines in this film. They seemed very forced. Never flowing with in the script. But, it was a fun ride regardless.

The "Home Mix" was very good. I (like Clive) was shocked at some of the usual options and no THX intro, but assumed they are saving this for the box set that I'm sure it coming.

I know James Cameron is not the nicest guy to work for....actually to put it mildly he's a real dick, but he knows his job. The attention to detail and making each play by play original, was always something to look forward to in his work.

I too hope he'll come back on the fourth :termin8: Bring back the babe too 8)

Those of you who have multi-region players should check out the R2 or R3 for the absolute reference DVD, they have DTS...
