Since I didn't have this film in my collection, and had never seen it theaterically, I saw the Superbit version at Walmart and bought it not knowing what to expect.
I'm sure most everyone here knows this Steven Speilberg film about an older Peter Pan and Captain Hook, so I'll just say it's a fun film for kids ( ME ) of all ages.
But it wasn't the movie itself that grabbed me the most. No, it's the fantastic transfer. This is another one to add to the reference disc category. And the DTS track ain't too shabby either.
In case you didn't know, it stars Robin Williams as a grownup Peter Pan and Dustin Hoffman ( he had a ball with this role) as Captain Hook.
This belongs in every collection.

"panned" by reviewers. I've enjoyed it every time I've seen it. I mean, how could you not? Steven Spielberg directing Robin Williams and Dustin Hoffman? Julia Roberts and Bob Hoskins? A pretty decent script and beautiful cinematography? Oh well, it's all personal taste I suppose.
