Had family movie night last night. Was expecting visual treat (no disappointment with my still newish projector). Audio was also excellent. Story was more sophisticated and better developed than I expected. Bill Murray is a stand out, as is Christopher Walken. :T:T:T

I actually thought it seems a bit 'mechanical' or lacking heart.
It certainly looked and sounded good. And I agree that Murray and Walken's voice work was quality as you'd expect... It was just kinda 'there' though otherwise. Didn't really feel like I connected to it like with the animated version.Jason- Bottom

I've not seen the animated version in nearly 30 years, so I didn't really "compare" it. It might also have resonated because my son's Scout troop volunteer leaders adopt character names from the story and the one who took the name Akela (sp?) had a recent brush with death, so we identified with that moment. There are better movies from Disney, but circumstances make this one more subjectively special than I'd expected.I actually thought it seems a bit 'mechanical' or lacking heart.

by Chris DRented this on Blu-Ray. Overall, a nice movie. Lots of little references and clues in there, such as scenery and objects shaped in the shapes of many classic airplanes, similar to little things done in "Cars". As a pilot, I appreciated this, and on that note appreciated the aeronautical...-
